My name is Matthew Maranell, I’m a General Contractor, Certified Real Estate Investor, as well as a Home Business/Lifestyle Coach
In the last 15 years I’ve renovated old homes from top to bottom, I’ve built luxury homes, and I’ve remodeled and repaired more than I can count, but not once did I run into a homeowner where money was never an issue whatsoever.
EVERYONE wants to know they’re getting a good deal, and no one likes to spend more than they need to when they decide to build, remodel, or repair their home.
This is where I come in…………My job is to save you money on your project by using my years of experience and sharing it with you. Instead of hiding trade secrets from you, I’ll openly disclose all of the ways that you can save money on your next project or renovation.
Going this route will allow you to squeeze more quality out of every dollar you put into your next project, regardless of the size. I can save you a few hundred on a small project like a window replacement, or a few thousand on a bathroom or kitchen remodel.
How I save you money is by holding your hand (figuratively) throughout the project, as a hands on contractor/tradesman and consultant, and allow YOU to do many of the time consuming tasks of a project on your own with the proper guidance of a professional.
By doing some of the project legwork yourself, I can assist you with the options available to you from the very start. I can Physically show you what is involved throughout a project and allow you to do what you are comfortable handling on your own, (even if simply picking up the supplies you want to use is all you feel comfortable with doing), and then I’ll simply take over where you don’t feel comfortable.
Many times I can start a phase of a project and show you how to handle the more simple aspects, and then allow you as the homeowner to finish some time consuming, but simple procedure, so that you are no longer paying me to do something that you could easily do yourself.
Now, I must make a note here…………. I’ve been doing this stuff for 15 years, and I can get a lot of stuff done in a short period of time, so many times I simply won’t need much of your assistance, (especially on smaller projects such as Window Replacements or Roofing Repairs, and so forth), but there is a lot of things a homeowner can do for themselves, especially on bigger projects, that I feel any average homeowner could easily handle on their own time if they just knew how, and by doing so, this would simply add on to their overall savings.
Obviously, you could hire me on as a consultant to finish an entire project and not do anything yourself whatsoever, and still probably come out ahead cost wise, but I think most people are more capable than they think they are.
I don’t know anyone that couldn’t handle going to Menards and ordering materials off of a materials list (that I can provide for them), and then simply have it delivered to their home, as well as picking up any other materials that may be needed throughout a project, as long as they had a proper list to go by.
This one simple step in itself can save homeowners hundreds of dollars. Not to mention, you are already probably going to be picking out what styles of products you want to use, (such as the type of toilet, sink, and tub for a bathroom renovation)
What and how much you decide you would like to do on your own, is completely up to you. You’re going to save either way.
